Preschoolers: between 10 and 13 hours of sleep per day
School-age children: between 9 and 11 hours per day
Teenagers: 8 to 10 hours of sleep per day were considered adequate
Youth and adults: 7 to 9 hours per day
Older adults: 7 to 8 hours of sleep per day
