I saw this method of installing a water heater in a rental apartment while on vacation in the south of the country. Usually we hang large boilers from the ceiling with difficulty, but here it stood on the floor on a special support. Many people will think about the highest water supply and they will be right, but not completely. This floor installation is possible for small volume water heaters. I myself installed a small replacement water heater under the sink, placing it at the bottom of the cabinet.

Before leaving, I asked the apartment owner why this installation method was preferable. Firstly, given that the lifespan of a water heater in continuous operation is 2-3 years, its constant removal and reassembly requires a lot of time and money, as well as possible repairs. Second, a floor-standing water heater is much easier to access for maintenance.

My relatives had the experience of a heavy 200 liter boiler hanging on the wall and which was sagging. I had to call a professional to hang it up. Thirdly, this installation gives the room a neater look, because all the pipes and pipes lie on the floor and are not visible. Additionally, there is additional space for small items.

Thus, the owner of the apartment solved several problems: ease of installation, ease of maintenance, ease of replacement and more pleasant appearance.

The boiler support was made by local craftsmen and painted white. The creation took just 30 minutes of soldering, spray paint, and adjustable legs from a furniture store.

There are some electrical issues, for example a tee on the ground, but overall the idea is very well thought out.
