    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup pecan halves
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 1/2 cup heavy cream
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

    1. Prepare the Pecans: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the pecan halves on a baking sheet in a single layer. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly browned. Watch them closely to prevent burning. Remove from the oven and let cool.
    2. Make the Caramel: In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and butter over medium heat. Stir continuously until the mixture is melted and smooth.
    3. Add Cream and Salt: Slowly add the heavy cream and salt to the caramel mixture, stirring constantly. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the caramel is thickened and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

    6. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely smooth and melted. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate using a double boiler.
    7. Top with Chocolate: Drizzle or spoon melted chocolate over each caramel-pecan cluster, covering them partially or completely as you prefer.
    8. Let Set: Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature or place the baking sheet in the refrigerator to speed up the process.
