Concretely, this button looks like a small hook. It is found on each side of the glass, at the level of the fixings. The role of these two hooks is to keep the oven door securely fixed in the oven frame. To remove the oven glass, you must open the oven door completely to access the two small hooks. Then, you must lift these two small hooks by pulling them upwards. If you cannot do this with your fingers, you can use a knife or a flat screwdriver. The goal is to leverage the hooks. Lift the hooks completely and do it on each side of the oven. Then, gently lift the oven door 3/4 without closing it completely. All that remains is to pull the door towards you delicately. Once the door is removed, place it on a table. Be careful, the oven door is not light to carry!
How to clean the oven door glass?
Now, all that’s left to do is clean it to remove all the dirt stuck to it. Is the glass really dirty? Don’t worry! There are 3 natural solutions for cleaning the oven door. – The baking soda and white vinegar duo is always a safe bet for degreasing the oven and its glass. You can add a little dishwashing liquid to boost its action. – By using soda crystals, black soap and water, you remove all the greasy residue that has stuck to the glass. Use them to make a cleaning paste that removes the dirt. Just follow the recipe for this powerful cleaner here. – To dissolve grease, sodium percarbonate is also very effective.
