Poor Man’s Steak

Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil (or butter)
4 frozen hamburger patties, thawed
2 packets of gravy mix
Chopped parsley on top (optional)
Directions
1. Heat olive oil or butter over medium-high heat in a large skillet. When hot, add hamburger patties and sear for about 5 minutes per side, until browned.
2. Transfer the patties to a plate.
3. Lower heat in the skillet and add gravy packets, mixing with water according to the package directions. Bring to a simmer.
4. Put the hamburger patties into the gravy and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, until they are completely cooked through and the juices run clear.
5. Serve! Optional: Add chopped parsley as garnish.
If we are feeling fancy: we love serving this with a side of mashed potatoes or steamed veggies.
