    In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chuck, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.
    Form the mixture into four evenly sized hamburger patties, each about ¾ inch thick.
    Let the patties rest at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes before cooking. This helps the flavors meld together and ensures the patties hold their shape when cooked.
