I just stuck a cheap film on the windows and had no problems all winter. My mother-in-law was surprised when I gave her my life tip
Autumn and winter are not the most favorite seasons for many. In addition to the brutal cold outside, low temperatures often prevail at home.
My mother-in-law lives in an old building from the Khrushchev era and every winter she complains about the low temperatures in her apartment.
We have already changed his windows from wooden to plastic and replaced the radiators, but to no avail.
In addition to the fact that there are frequent drafts and draughts from the windows, condensation constantly accumulates in the window and mold forms as a result.
This year I decided to conduct an experiment in my apartment first, when I liked the result, I shared my tip with my mother-in-law. Well, my idea worked in his old Khrushchev-era apartment!

Now I share with you:
Instead of spending a lot of money on insulating the windows, I used regular cling film.
This film creates the effect of a “third glass”, i.e. an air chamber that keeps the heat in the room. To be honest, I have already reduced my heating costs, I do not turn on the heater, because the hose serves as a kind of insulator.
Another advantage of using a heat-saving film is that it prevents the formation of condensation on the glass. We all know that fogged glass forms dangerous mold on the plastic seal. With the film, you will not have this problem again.
But how to glue this film correctly?
It is important to remember that it is not glued to the glass itself, but only to the window frame. This is important to ensure reliable film fixation and efficient operation. It will take a little time and patience to set up the film, but the result is worth it.
There are several ways to secure the film, but the easiest and most effective way is to use double-sided tape. Simply stick the film to the window frame, smooth it out carefully and make sure it is taut and does not form any wrinkles.
Herbst und Winter sind für viele nicht die beliebtesten Jahreszeiten. Neben der brutalen Kälte draußen herrschen zu Hause oft niedrige Temperaturen. -3
Now you know a simple and affordable way to improve the thermal insulation of your home. Cling film is not only a cost-effective insulation option, but also an effective way to reduce heating costs and eliminate unpleasant drafts and condensation on the windows. Try it and see for yourself!
