Silicone plays a crucial role in our bathrooms, preventing water from seeping through cracks in bathtubs and showers, preventing mold and mildew from forming. However, over time, silicone can become a breeding ground for mold and mildew, making cleaning a daunting task. Luckily, Jessica from This Blessed Life shares an effective solution that requires just two simple items: cotton rolls and bleach.
Silicone Mold Removal: Jessica suggests using cotton rolls, which are cotton balls that are shredded into a long strip. The cotton is soaked in bleach and applied to the silicone. To avoid skin contact with the bleach, it is recommended to use a cotton swab to squeeze the cotton roll. Wearing rubber gloves is also recommended. Additionally, it is crucial to ventilate the room by turning on a fan or opening a window while the solution is working, at least for a few hours.
