How to Remove Musty Smell from Closets

White vinegar

The antifungal and antibacterial properties of white vinegar make it an excellent remedy against mold and bacteria that cause bad odors in our closets.

Remove all clothing and sheets from the closet, then wipe all the interior surfaces with a cloth soaked in vinegar and let dry thoroughly, keeping the closet doors wide open. This will take about two hours.

Baking soda

It has absorbent and antibacterial properties that will prevent the formation of mold on the one hand, and bacteria on the other.

Pour baking soda into cloth bags and hang them in the closet. Alternatively, you can put baking soda in a dish and place it in the closet for a few days.

Lavender

The delicious scent of lavender can help us keep wardrobes and clothes free from unpleasant odors of mold or damp.

Lavender neutralizes bad odors and prevents them from building up in closed spaces. Place dried lavender flowers in cloth bags and place them in various places in the closet.
