How to lighten the yellowed toilet tablet: 3 very easy tricks

Although the tablet and lid of the toilet are very white in the factory, over time they begin to take on a yellowish color, especially if when we clean them we do not use a strong whitening product.

The problem with a yellowed toilet tablet is not only aesthetic: the presence of these stains also assume an accumulation of dirt and bacteria that can do health.

Below we suggest 3 home tricks to remove yellowish spots from the toilet tablet effectively and in the shortest possible time.
Makeup with toothpaste and baking soda

Mix 4 tablespoons of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of white toothpaste. Continue to stir until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Apply the mixture to the surface of the toilet and use a sponge to rub well. Leave on for 10 minutes.

Finally, use a damp cloth to remove the residue of the mixture and clean the surface of the toilet tablet well.
Makeup with vinegar

The white vinegar is a great ally for domestic cleaning: in addition to disinfecting, it has whitening properties that are very useful for cleaning the toilet tablet.

Mix 2 tablespoons baking soda with 140 ml of white vinegar. Use this solution to clean the toilet tablet with a sponge.

Leave on for a few minutes, then remove everything with a clean cloth and finally dry well.

Makeup with bleach

If the tricks described above do not have satisfactory results, we just have to resort to a product as powerful as bleach.

If the toilet tablet is plastic and can be removed easily, it is advisable to remove it to soak it in a bucket or bathtub in a solution based on water and bleach. Let it soak for a few minutes, then rinse it and dry it well.

If it cannot be removed, apply the water mix and bleach directly to its surface. After a few minutes it rubs well with a sponge and rinse with a clean cloth. Remember to wear gloves and mask.
