How to Clean a Sofa with the Towel Method: Remove Dust and Stains

1. Vacuum the floor
Before using stain removers, vacuum the entire surface of the sofa or armchair to remove as much dust as possible. Use the appropriate accessories to avoid damaging the fabric: a delicate brush is ideal.

2. Clean only the dirty part
Dampen a towel with white vinegar and gently rub the visible stains. Remember not to apply too much pressure and ensure proper ventilation of the room.

3. Clean with water and laundry detergent
Do another pass with water and a mild laundry detergent. This will help remove deeper dirt and the strong vinegar smell. Use only a small amount of detergent and water to avoid damaging the fabric.

4. Let it dry well
Many people use a hair dryer to speed things up, but letting it dry naturally is the best option. Open the windows and make sure the couch is getting the right amount of airflow.

Please note: the method described above can only be applied to fabric or microfiber sofas and armchairs, not leather ones.
