Ingredients:

  • 6 slices of bread
  • 6 slices of cheese
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 4 eggs
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Parsley and green onion, finely chopped
  • 100 grams of hunter sausages
  • 100 grams of cheese (grated)
  • Olive oil (for greasing)
  • Cooking spray (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish with olive oil or cooking spray.
  2. Prepare Ingredients: Lay the slices of bread in the greased baking dish, ensuring they cover the bottom evenly. Place a slice of cheese on each bread slice, followed by a slice of bacon.
  3. Crack Eggs: Carefully crack each egg on top of the bacon slices, spacing them evenly across the dish.
  4. Season: Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, and green onion.
  5. Add Sausages and Cheese: Cut the hunter sausages into small pieces and scatter them around the eggs. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the entire dish.
  6. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until the eggs are cooked to your desired doneness and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Serve this Hearty Breakfast Bake with a side of fresh fruit or a light salad to balance the richness of the eggs and bacon. For a heartier meal, accompany it with a cup of hot coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice. This dish is also perfect for serving as part of a larger brunch spread, including pancakes, muffins, and other breakfast favorites.

Cooking Tips:

  • To ensure even cooking, cut the bacon into small pieces before laying it over the cheese.
  • For a lighter version, substitute the regular bacon with turkey bacon and use low-fat cheese.
  • Adding a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce on top before baking can give an extra kick for those who enjoy a bit of spice in their breakfast.
