- 12 slices of bread
- 12 slices of cheese
- 6 slices of ham
- 2 eggs
- 100 ml of milk
- Pinch of salt
- Additional cheese for topping
Directions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 190-200°C (375-400°F).
- Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and a pinch of salt.
- Assemble the Sandwiches: Lay out 6 slices of bread on a flat surface. Place a slice of cheese on each piece of bread, top each with a slice of ham, then another slice of cheese, and cover with the remaining slices of bread to form sandwiches.
- Dip and Arrange: Dip each sandwich briefly into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated. Arrange the dipped sandwiches in a baking dish.
- Add Topping: If desired, sprinkle additional cheese over the top of the sandwiches for extra cheesiness.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden brown.
- Serve: Allow the bake to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
