Dirty iron, the laundry method to clean it from top to bottom: it will be like new again

The first housewife trick.

A trick used by many housewives is to  use parchment paper and coarse salt.  As strange as it may seem, these two elements together are miraculous. There are very simple steps to follow, which allow you to have a brand new iron in just a few steps.

Take a sheet of parchment paper,  place it on the table, sprinkle the coarse salt on  it, covering it evenly. Then turn on the iron, wait for it to get very hot,  pass it over the sheet of paper and then over the salt  just like when ironing. Press hard.

At a glance, you can see how  dirt and limescale stains disappear quickly  . The iron is now ready for use without the risk of damaging your clothes.

Second procedure: vinegar

Vinegar is one of the most sought-after ingredients for household cleaning  . It is used for everything: cooking, washing, disinfecting, removing embedded dirt from any surface, and making steel look like new again.

To clean your iron, prepare a vinegar and water solution  suitable for the outside, including the soleplate. It is important to wipe the entire surface dry before storing or using the iron.  To clean and polish the plate, you can also prepare a vinegar and coarse salt solution  .

You can also use vinegar to clean the boiler. Fill it with water and vinegar, half water and half vinegar. Then turn on the iron and release the steam, thus expelling the limescale from the inside of the boiler.
