Preparation
Apple filling:
Start by thinly slicing the apple and sprinkle the slices with lemon juice to keep them fresh.
In a nonstick skillet, melt the butter with the sugar over medium heat until bubbling.
Add the apple slices to the pan and cook until golden and caramelized, adding a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor.
Finish by adding the apricot jam to give the apples a shiny appearance. Set this delicious mixture aside.
Pie dough and baking:
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and salt until frothy.
Add the vanilla sugar or essence, oil and milk, mixing well.

Sift the flour and baking powder into the liquid mixture, stirring until smooth.
Pour the batter into a cake tin, spreading it evenly.
Arrange the caramelized apple slices on the dough in a decorative manner.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) and bake the tart for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Once cooked, let the tart cool for a few minutes before sprinkling it with icing sugar for the finishing touch.
