Instructions
In a suitable kneading bowl, mix the milk, sugar and yeast.
Add the egg, vanilla, melted butter and salt and continue to mix.
Gradually add the flour and knead until the dough is smooth and does not stick to your hands. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Roll out the dough using a rolling pin. Sprinkle half of the dough with granulated sugar, then fold it over. Sprinkle more sugar on the folded dough and fold it over again into a square.
Roll out the dough again and sprinkle with the remaining granulated sugar and cinnamon mixture. Cut the dough into squares using a knife or cookie cutter.
Place the shaped cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (338°F) until golden brown.
