Classic Apple Walnut Cake

Instructions
Make the dough:
In a bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt until well combined.
Add 80g sugar and 12g vanilla sugar. Continue mixing until smooth.
Pour in the milk, then gradually add 150g flour and 10g baking powder, stirring until smooth.
Finally, add 30ml oil and mix to incorporate.
Arrange the apple layer:
Preheat the oven to 170°C. Butter a baking dish.
Pour the prepared dough into the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Arrange the apple slices on the dough, pressing them gently onto the surface.
Lightly sprinkle the apples with sugar and vanilla sugar.
Make the filling:

In a small bowl, mix 150g plain flour, chopped walnuts, a pinch of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
Add the cubed butter and mix until crumbly.
Spread the filling evenly over the apples.
Bake:
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake at 170°C for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
Serve:
Allow the cake to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
