Christmas Crack Recipe:

Ingredients:
1 package of saltine crackers (sufficient to cover the bottom of your baking tray)
2 cups of chopped semi-sweet chocolate chunks
1 cup of dark brown sugar
1 cup of butter without salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2. Line a baking tray with tin foil. Spray with nonstick spray.
3. Lay out saltine crackers side by side on tray.
4. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt brown sugar, butter, and salt until it boils into a smooth sauce. Add vanilla extract.
5. Pour the caramel over the crackers. Bake for 5 minutes until bubbly.
6. Melt chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.
7. After baking, cool the crackers for 1 minute and then spread the melted chocolate over them.
8. Let them cool to room temperature. Refrigerate overnight.
9. Remove from pan, peel away foil, and cut into pieces.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a week or freeze between parchment paper for up to 2 months.
