Here’s a simple recipe for Chinese Beef and Onion Stir Fry:

    Ingredients:

    • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
    • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
    • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 inch ginger, minced
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Green onions for garnish

    Instructions:

    1. Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15-20 minutes.
    2. Heat the Pan: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over high heat.
    3. Cook the Beef: Add the marinated beef in a single layer. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned but not fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
    4. Sauté Aromatics: In the same pan, add the remaining oil, then add garlic and ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
    5. Add Onions: Add the sliced onions and stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until they are softened and slightly caramelized.
    6. Combine: Return the beef to the pan and stir everything together. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the beef is cooked through and everything is well combined.
    7. Serve: Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot over rice or noodles.

    Enjoy your stir fry!
