Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup cold water (you may need a little more, depending on dough consistency)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Baking Sheet:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Make the Dough:
    • In a food processor, combine the flour, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Add the cold butter cubes and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    • Gradually add cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, and pulse until the dough comes together. You may need slightly more water if the dough is too dry.
  3. Roll Out the Dough:
    • Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out to about 1/8-inch thick.
