Sea salt (optional)
24 small pretzel twists
24 caramel candies, unwrapped
1 tablespoon water
Sea salt (optional)
Directions
1. Start by preparing your apple. Wash it thoroughly, then dice it into small, bite-sized pieces.
2. Arrange your pretzel twists in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
3. Place one diced apple piece on top of each pretzel twist.
4. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramel candies and water. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until the caramel is fully melted and smooth.
5. Carefully drizzle the melted caramel over each apple-topped pretzel. If desired, sprinkle a small pinch of sea salt over the caramel for a sweet and salty touch.
6. Allow the caramel to set completely before serving. You can speed up this process by placing the bites in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes.

For a different twist, try using red apples or even pears in place of the green apple. You can also drizzle a bit of melted chocolate over the caramel for extra decadence. If you’re a fan of nuts, sprinkle some finely chopped pecans or walnuts over the caramel before it sets for added texture and flavor.
