    Cabbage Beef Bake

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 pound ground beef

    1 small onion, diced

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    1 small head cabbage, shredded

    1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained

    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    1 teaspoon dried oregano

    1 teaspoon dried basil

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Olive oil for cooking

    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened and fragrant.

    Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.

    Once the beef is cooked, add the shredded cabbage to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage has wilted down, about 5-7 minutes.

    Stir in the drained diced tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

    Transfer the beef and cabbage mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

    Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the beef and cabbage mixture.

    Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
