Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan and set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
3. In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the sour cream, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
6. Gently fold in the diced apples using a spatula. Be careful not to overmix.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
9. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
