  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg

Step 1: Prepare the Salmon Mixture

  1. Open the can of salmon and drain thoroughly.

Step 2: Shape the Patties

Step 3: Fry the Patties

  1. Heat about 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot, place the patties into the skillet. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan!
  3. Cook each patty for 3-4 minutes on one side, until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side.
