3 – DIVING INTO THE WATER
This is a technique that has been known for ages and it is so formidable that no egg could lie to it. Prepare a large container of fresh water, and splash! Dip the egg, and observe its reaction:

It sinks directly: it is fresh and can be consumed without any problem.
It floats desperately on the surface: it clearly tells you that you have forgotten it and that it is better to avoid eating it.
It sinks, but taking its time: it is still possible to use it in a preparation with cooking, but you must avoid eating it raw.
On the other hand, you can safely put it in a cake or an omelette.
